OLIVER PLUCK
THE LOTUS GROUP
Born in Cardiff, Wales. Oli is 44 and doesn’t shy away from the fact that his journey to date, along with the hectic and hedonistic lifestyle he led up until his career change in 2018, helped mould him in his grounded, diverse approach to coaching. Spending three solid years on self-development and studying aspects of modern applied psychology, his only goal is to give back and support others on their growth, development and maturation path.
Early Career
Having spent 20 years in the hospitality industry, Oli has received several accolades. Having built and owned two successful award-winning bars, I consulted for the King of Jordan and the British Royal Family. Oli also consulted on the Olympics for the United States Olympic Committee in London 2012, Rio 2016 and Pyuong Chang 2016.
Once a confessed workaholic obsessed with personal career recognition and progression. Unable to cope with the stress of self-inflicted workloads, depression and anxiety. Only after winning the 8th-best cocktail bar in the UK did he realise that everything he had worked towards meant absolutely nothing. After finally receiving the recognition he had always wanted, Oli realised that the industry he had worked in gave him little to zero self-fulfilment or personal reward.
Personal Growth
After giving up and leaving everything he had spent years building up, Oli realised that to save his own life he had to search within and would look to rebuild and give structure to the real life he wanted to live. This life would be one filled with compassion, love, empathy and supporting others is his primary goal.
“Understanding who we are at the core is vitally important. I had navigated 20 years in hospitality without knowing who I was and defined myself solely by my skill and ability. This only got magnified tenfold when I bought my first bar. When my bipolar peaked at its worse and thoughts of suicide came back with every hangover and comedown, I thought there has to be more to life and with a final (No shits given) set of eyes, the path slowly started to reveal itself. A whole new world started to emerge before me but this wasn’t from looking out ….But from looking within! “
After leaving hospitality back in 2018 Oli’s journey has been an incredible adventure. Studying modern applied psychology, coaching and psychotherapy. He works closely with those who share a similar story and are desperately trying to break the chain to find true fulfilment from life through goal setting and accountability. Having been through his own trials and tribulations, Oli now focuses on self-development full time and focuses on giving back to individuals, businesses and communities.
Thriving on seeing people realise and awaken their souls full potential, is what Oli describes as a ‘Beautiful thing’.

Every human being deserves to be treated as an equal within a diverse, inclusive, egalitarian society. Discovering who we are at the core and deciphering what our true purpose and path is, should be an adventure everyone should embark on. If we all did this the world would truly be a unique and magnificent place.
